Green meeting

Dornbirn-MFC has become a noticeable green event, organisers report. It aligned its guidelines and policies with the Austrian Eco-Label for Green Meetings & Green Events to receive a certification.

Criteria such as CO2 reduction, ecological catering, environmentally-friendly accommodation, as well as management of materials and waste, play an essential role.

Exhibited TexCar automobile

One of this year`s highlights will be Groz Beckert`s presentation of a longitudinally cut car of a major European car brand, which demonstrates the various aspects of fibres and fibre usage.

Cooperation with Avantex

Last month, at a joint press conference with Texworld/Avantex, the cooperation of Dornbirn-MFC and Avantex was announced. Avantex Paris is a textile fair where fashion and high technology meet together. It is held in Paris twice a year (February and September) and is organized by Messe Frankfurt France.

Fashion and HiTec is the slogan for the collaboration. The synergy of the unbeated market place for fashion and the market place for fibre innovation will be leveraged in the future and is ultimately to the benefit for the final consumer, according to organisers. Both events show a perfect timely match as well, as Avantex Paris takes place just the week before the event in Dornbirn and the participants can efficiently follow both events.
