Direction by Indigo Advances Its Prominent Position in the
U.S. Textile & Surface Design Market
15 April 2009, New York - For seven solid years, Direction
has held its position as the No. 1 textile design show in America, organisers
say. In September 2008, Direction by Indigo became part of the Indigo brand of
textile design shows as the most recent acquisition to Première Vision’s stable
of prestigious industry events.
In today’s current economic climate, Direction by Indigo is
poised to advance its position as leader in the U.S. textile design market.
Taking advantage of resources through Première Vision’s global marketing arm, Direction
by Indigo benefits through cross-promotion with Première Vision Preview New
York, increased direct marketing to an expanded data base, worldwide exposure
of Direction by Indigo at all Première Vision’s events and international ad
campaigns to support the Indigo brand. Cross promotion between Direction by
Indigo Show and Première Vision Preview New York stimulates high synergy in the
U.S. market for the textile design and fabric shows to increase traffic at both
events.
In a recent attendee survey, over 50% of buyers at Direction
by Indigo visited or planned to attend Première Vision Preview New York. In
July 2009, Première Vision Preview New York will promote Direction by Indigo’s
August 2009 Show. In January 2009, Direction by Indigo initiated upgrades that
impacted promotional and operational features in addition to the visual
presentation of the show. With a fresh look and despite severe cold weather and
dire economic conditions, the January 2009 Show was well received and attended
by 2,855 visits in three days.
