Dinard International Festival of Young Fashion Designers 2009

Noyon & Darquer, guests of the French Federation of Lace and Embroidery

For the 16th edition of the International Festival of Young Fashion Designers in Dinard, the French Federation of Lace and Embroidery, which partners the special “Lace and Embroidery” award, invited Noyon & Darquer to sponsor the prize-winner.

Presided over by Marcel Marongiu, Artistic Director at Guy Laroche, and including the participation of Lydia Grandjean, General Delegate of the French Federation of Lace and Embroidery, the jury recognised the work of Laetitia Comettini from Esmod Fashion College.

Olivier Noyon, Chairman of the Board of the Noyon Group, presented Laetitia with a length of lace and invited her to carry out a weeklong placement with the Calais-based company, during which she will be offered an insight into the Leavers lace design and manufacturing process.

Recognised throughout the world for their creativity and innovation, Noyon & Darquer have always endeavoured to pass on the traditional aspect that constitutes the very soul of lace to young generations of designers, as well as lace’s modernity which ensures that it remains an eternal and truly extraordinary product.
