22 May 2009, Brescia, Italy - Santoni will open its doors to
its customers to show its latest developments in its seamless circular knitting
technology at Santoni Days from 8 – 10 October 2009 at its Brescia
headquarters. On show will also be an updated range of Santoni, Sangiacomo
(Socks & Seamless), Matec, Vignoni, Mec-Mor and Tecnopea machines.
Confirmation of the Santoni Days 2009 dates is a positive
sign that the company is optimistic about the future following the recent global
downturn in demand for high-tech knitting machinery.
Santoni was founded in 1919 as the first Italian socks
machine manufacturer and in 1988 it became part of the Lonati group, a world leader
in the production of sock and pantyhose machines. Since then, the company has
lent its name to the ‘Seamless’ phenomenon, becoming a leader in the production
of electronic machines for garments without seams.
