Abstract of WO 2009084193 (A1)
Provided is a yarn-end treating device
for a flat-knitting machine, in which knitting yarns can be gripped and cut by
driving two grippers and a cutter at one rotating step of a drive shaft. A left
gripper unit (3) and a right gripper unit (4) are equipped, at their respective
distal ends, with gripping portions (5 and 6) capable of gripping knitting
yarns. The left gripper unit (3) and the right gripper unit (4) can slide and
move longitudinally of two drive shafts (7 and 8) erected above a tooth mouth (2).
The actions of the gripping portions (5 and 6) are driven respectively by the
rotations of the drive shafts (7 and 8). The left gripper unit (3) is further
equipped with a scissors-shaped cutter (9). The opening/closing drive of the
cutter (9) is performed by the rotation of the drive shaft (8) for driving the
action of the gripping portion (6) of the right gripper unit (4). The actions
of gripping and cutting the knitting yarns by the two gripping portions (5 and
6) can be performed by the rotations of one step of the drive shafts (7 and 8).
