8 September 2009, Brescia - A new exhibition for the hosiery
industry is to be held in Brescia, Italy from 8-11 October this year. According
to organisers, Fimast, International Fair of Textile Machinery and Accessories,
will be a meeting point for Italian and foreign professional from all over the
world who want to be updated on innovative hosiery industry technology and production.
The event, organized by Brixia Expo (Brescia Exhibition Centre),
aims to provide information about market trends during a period where the
hosiery knitting and finishing industry is at a low. Fimast is said to have
been born from the desire of some of Italy’s manufacturers of finishing and
knitting machinery who want to compare experiences and find new opportunities
for the sector re-launch.
Fimast will show the latest developments in preparatory
machines, yarns and hosiery accessories, circular hosiery knitting machines, linking,
sewing and assembling machines, dyeing and finishing machines, packaging
machines and accessories machines, accessories, computer equipment, control
systems and services.
Fimast is one of a number of hosiery industry events taking
place in the Brescia area at around the same time. The established Santoni Days
and Lonati private exhibitions are now joined by Invista’s ‘Lycra Fibre Moves’
in Verona and Fimast and Fiorenzo Sandonini’s SeamlessWorld Days hosiery
machinery exhibition in Brescia.
