31 July 2009, Obertshausen – This seductive yet formal
garment has been produced on Karl Mayer’s RSJ 5/1 EL jacquard Rascheltronic
machine.
Setting the scene in describing the garment, Karl Mayer
says: “The ‘Knight of the Rose’ presents the bride-to-be with a silver rose,
thus heralding the arrival of the groom, a role which could be played quite
easily by a woman in the opera of the same name. The seductive body shown here
is perfect for wearing under a formal dress for announcing news of the wedding.”
“This beautiful lingerie item was produced on an RSJ 5/1 EL
machine. The exquisite products that can be produced on this machine have
already been described in the last two issues of the company’s Kettenwirk-Praxis*
magazine,” says Karl Mayer.
Karl Mayer says that the garment, which was made from the
fabric produced on a Rascheltronic machine with EL control, epitomises the
gentle art of seduction, and features a wide range of jacquard patterns
produced by working even and counter notation lappings. The successful theme of
satin ribbons has also been used in this garment, and has been taken a step
further to produce a striped look. The silky, shimmering stripes of different
thickness run close together through the torso and bust sections to create a
seductive interpretation of the formal, pin-striped look. Karl Mayer says the result
is a perfect combination of seriousness and seduction and a feminine look based
on masculine formality.
Different transparent jacquard patterns run between the
ribbons to reveal the skin underneath. The decorative channels between the
dense connecting pieces comprise net-like grounds, which may either be plain or
else patterned with checks, rectangles or large hatched areas, creating a
filigree background for a striped design that is almost three-dimensional.
The result is a design which follows the slim shape of the
torso lengthwise and runs diagonally across the bust to produce a plunging
neckline. Karl Mayer says that the stretch lingerie caresses the body without
pinching, and the mesh ground ensures that it is breathable at all times, even
when things start to get hot – in short, it is the perfect garment for those
little intimate moments.
