Texworld USA visitors up 20%

New York – The eighth edition of Texworld USA showcased 139 exhibitors from 14 countries and welcomed 2468 attendees.  In accordance with the apparel fashion cycle, the January shows feature Spring/Summer fabric collections, while the July editions feature Fall/Winter. More

Geneva - Invista is to continue its Lycra Sport fabric global tour by showcasing its innovative and performance driven fabric program at the ISPO trade show in Munich, Germany from 7 – 10 February 2010. More

New look for Expofil

Paris - Expofil is adopting a new look for the edition taking place from 9 to 12 February 2010. Like Première Vision, it has been rethought-out by designer Eric Jourdan and set designer Francesca Avossa, adopting the same white and sober architecture of an international city of small buildings. More

Terrot targets Middle East and North Africa

Chemnitz – Circular knitting machine builder Terrot will show its two track S4F348 single jersey striper machine at the International African-Arabian Exhibition for Textile, Embroidery and Sewing Machinery & Accessories (ITCE), which is being held from 23-26 February at the Cairo International Fair Ground in Cairo, Egypt. ‘New wool’ inspires revival in northern hemisphere

Sydney – Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) driven, grower-funded textile innovations such as Merino Touch, new lightweight wools and used and natural-look finishes are said to be inspiring a wool revival in the northern hemisphere. More

Thermo°Cool to feature in new Kamik sock collection

Greensboro, NC—Kamik, a Montréal based company known for their outdoor footwear, in conjunction with Richter International the new licensee for Kamik Family Hosiery, will launch a new line of performance socks at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, January 21-24. More

Tinarelli introduces new case packing solution

Zola Predosa (BO) – Italian packaging machinery manufacturer Tinarelli has introduced a new case-packer to its range of machines for the socks and hosiery sector. The company’s CHM10 is a completely new machine that will replace the current ORC machine. More

Karl Mayer to present at VDMA Roadshow India

Obertshausen – Warp knitting machine builder Karl Mayer is to present at the next ‘German textile technology for technical textiles India’ road show, which is planned for March 2010 (8 and 9 March in New Delhi and 12 March in Mumbai). More

Bangladesh’s knitters target India’s north east

Dhaka – According to the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA), the country’s knitwear manufacturers are getting strong signals from India that it wants engage in trade. The BKMEA says that India’s north eastern states in particular should be targeted. More

Zegna Baruffa Collection – Spring-Summer 2011

Vallemosso (BI) - Leading Italian spinner of worsted yarns for knitwear,  Zegna Baruffa has released details of its Chiavazza, Baruffa and B-Exclusive lines for Spring-Summer 2011, in the run up to Pitti Filati, which is being held at the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence from 27-29 January.
