Invista to unveil new generation shapewear at Paris Mode City

10 June 2010, Geneva – Invista has announced it will be unveiling a platform for a new generation of shapewear at this year’s Paris Mode City.

‘The Science of Shaping’ will be displayed at the Invista stand showcasing several leading innovations in both Intimate Apparel and Swimwear. According to Invista, the innovation, entitled Lycra fibre beauty fabric, has been engineered to meet demanding standards and is set to create new solutions for shapewear that will satisfy the expectations of this fast-changing category. Based on a scientific understanding of the technology of shapewear, the new addition to the Invista portfolio is set to raise new performance parameters within the industry, the company says.

Nicolas Banyols, Global Marketing Director, Innerwear, Invista Apparel comments:

“We conducted a global consumer study that confirmed that nearly all women (93%) show interest in the shaping attribute when purchasing intimate apparel so we are confident that we have created an offering that will appeal to brands and retailers whilst delivering what their customers really want. We are very excited about introducing this secret asset to shapewear which offers sculpting, smoothing, comfort, style and quality to fabrics which are all invaluable components that bring confidence and happiness to the end wearer.”

At the Invista stand at the Mode City show, the entire 150m² stand will be dedicated to the company’s latest innovation. Invista says it continues to lead the fashion industry by regularly updating its innovation portfolio bringing added value to customers throughout the apparel value chain.
