Groz-Beckert’s knitting machine parts division is said to be looking forward to the ITMA Asia + CITME trade fair with great confidence. Alongside innovative needle developments, the Groz-Beckert knitting head and the Groz-Beckert cylinder will be the focus of interest.

According to Groz-Beckert, the requirements placed on knitting needles for the production of knitwear are growing increasingly extreme. The search for new areas of application, high production performance, and long service life and also the topics of energy and environmental efficiency are all boosting innovation. At the ITMA Asia + CITME the company will be presenting new approaches for sock, flat and circular knitting needle sectors.

MACH2XEight new exhibits from Shima Seiki

Leading Japanese computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. will be exhibiting its range of advanced computerised flat knitting machines at this year's ITMA Asia + CITME 2010 exhibition. On display will be a representative cross-section of its technology, ranging from conventional shaping and intarsia machines to its latest high-spec Wholegarment knitting machines, in a wide range of gauges from coarse to ultrafine. Of the nine machines scheduled to be shown in Shanghai this June, at least eight will be new exhibits, being shown for the first time at an international exhibition, says Shima.

Pai Lung showcases innovations

Pai LungLeading Taiwanese circular knitting machine builder Pai Lung will be introducing its latest innovations in circular knitting at ITMA Asia + CITME later this month as well as showing the latest versions of its recently introduced flat knitting machines for sweater production. The exhibition runs from 22 to 26 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai.

German textile machinery orders soar in run up to ITMA Asia

Germany’s VDMA Textile Machinery Association has reported a 130% increase in orders in the first quarter 2010 for German textile machinery builders compared to the first quarter of last year. The association predicts an overall increase in sales of 30-35% in 2010, compared with 2009.

“After two extremely difficult years, the German textile machinery manufacturers are guardedly optimistic for the future” explains Fritz P. Mayer, Chairman of the Textile Machinery Association and Managing Partner of Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH.

German circular knitting machine builder Terrot will be targeting Asian markets when it exhibits at the forthcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010, which is being jointly organised in Shanghai by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd and MP International Pte Ltd.

Terrot which has a strong market presence in the region will be exhibiting with its partner Terrot Hong Kong Ltd and will be showing the latest version of its upgraded S296-2 single jersey machine.

Karl Mayer highlights productivity gains

Leading warp knitting machine builder Karl Mayer says the first port of call for all those interested in warp-knitting machines and warp preparation equipment at the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 will be the company’s exhibition stand in hall E1, A54.  The company will show a number of innovations which can help producers of warp and raschel knitted fabrics, productivity gains.

As one of the highlights, the Obertshausen global player will be featuring the production increases which can be achieved through the appropriate integration of carbon fibre components and the corresponding adaptation of the company’s machine concept.

Mayer introduces 3-colour striping on 108 feeds

Mayer & Cie. is to demonstrate maximum striping performance with its S4-3.2 R single jersey striping machine at ITMA Asia + CITME 2010, which takes place in Shanghai from 22-26 June.

The German company’s latest circular knitting machine has 108 feeders with a cylinder diameter of 34 inches and Mayer says that the machine is innovative in that up to 3 colours can be knit per feeder over all 108 feeders or alternatively, up to 6 colours over 54 feeders. The company expects this to open up a whole range of completely new options for achieving maximum productivity when manufacturing superior-quality fashionable striped fabric.

Comez, a leader in advanced narrow fabric technology which offers a complete range of crochet knitting machines and double needle bed warp knitting machines is to show four of its latest machines at the forthcoming ITMA Asia + CITME 2010 in Shanghai. 110 Italian textile machinery companies exhibiting  

Just a few months before the next ITMA ASIA + CITME is due to open in Shanghai from June 22 to 26, Italy’s position amongst textile machinery’s leaders has been confirmed by the high number of Italian manufacturers exhibiting at the event.

110 Italian companies will be exhibiting at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010, occupying an overall exhibition space of approximately 3800 squaremetres. Of these, 66 will be presenting their products as part of the National Sector Group, organized by ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and ICE (the Italian Trade Commission).

To date, over 100 German textile machinery builders, including their Chinese subsidiaries have registered for ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 in Shanghai (22–26 June) via the country’s VDMA Textile Machinery Association.
