31 August 2010, Paris - Hyosung is launching a brand new
product for swimwear collections called ‘creora highclo’ at the forthcoming
Interfiliere trade show in Paris from 4-6 September. The new branded spandex/elastane
is said to have superior chlorine resistance and longer lasting fit to meet consumer
demand for quality, fit and performance in swimwear.
Creora highclo is engineered from the high power performance
family of creora products and aims to provide higher modulus with outstanding
quality, uniformity, consistency and knitting efficiencies in warp and circular
knitting. According to Creora, as a higher power spandex/elastane, it is
excellent for compression, shaping, and now, will retain its power longer after
exposure to chlorine to provide lasting fit and shape retention. Creora partner
mills with fabrics to be featured at Paris show include Sofileta of France,
Cherry Body(Hong Kong), Hyunjin (Korea) Hungyen (Vietnam) and Huiyi (China).
End user applications for creora highclo are competitive swimwear, aqua fitness
and fashion swimwear.
The graph below shows comparative test results for creora highclo, chlorine resistant spandex and non-chlorine resistant spandex.

Creora Textile Directions for Swimwear
JUNGLE FEVER
creora direction : Decorative Desire - An intense and rich colour
palette inspired by the natural beauty of the jungle plays a role in this
textile direction as botanical blooms and innovative fauna create perfect print
designs in large-scale effects. From the intense tones of indigenous floral
species of the Amazon through to the neutral aspects of reptile skin and animal
prints and foliage, this direction stretches the scale on how intense and
bright the application you want to create. From full-on blooms in bright tones
through to a more sophisticated offering that pulls from the neutral aspects
all sectors of the fashion swimwear market can pull from this.
OCEAN SCENE
creora direction : Decorative Desire The landscape of the
ocean floor inspires this direction as corals, tropical fish and the reflective
aspects of water and pearlescence of shells produce innovative techniques in
updating swimwear. This direction can be worked from a funky and fashionable
aspect incorporating digital printing working with fish and shells and lost
treasure troves through to a more sophisticated offering where the interest
lies in the openwork structures of innovative jacquards and bright iridescent
yarns, laminated finishes and foil prints. Organic texture features in this
grouping from the smooth mother-of-pearl iridescent finish to the matte porous
structure of coral based reefs. A retro mood continues to inspire on the design
front as more woven stretch fabrics feature for the swimwear sector in flat
yarn dyed formations or through 3D surface effects.
SUBMERGE
creora direction : Decorative DesireFor the competitive and
fitness swimwear sector longevity is a key factor to the daily use of swimwear
against chlorine combined with quick dry function and technical knits that
reduce drag, enhancing performance. Ecological aspects team with the strong
techno stance as recycled synthetics feature alongside super light
polypropylene, that has a strong ecological background, enhanced by the
inclusion of creora eco H-550 that completes the green story. Traditional
bestselling black continues in form, updated with contrasting coloured tipping
and flat lock stitching. A new emergence of vivid brights inspired by nature is
set to come through, offered in plains and printed, focusing on a stronger
fashion element for the fitness sector. Placement prints and PU heat transfers
update plains through the use of motifs or logos coordinating with contrasting coloured
tipping. Fabric constructions are compact and smooth, second-skin and due to
the creora spandex/elastane content ‘comfort and stretch. For high-end
performance, bonded seams and clean-cut finishes ensure an incredibly smooth
and glide-like function.
