Zak Garmentech Bangladesh tradeshow

20 December 2008, Dhaka - The 8th international Garment & Allied Machinery & Accessories Trade Show is to be held from 13-16 January 2009 at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre Dhaka.

Zakaria Trade & Fair International of Bangladesh and Zak Trade Fairs & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. of India are jointly organising the event attracting more than 250 international companies from all over the world. The show is expected to draw the attention of more than 30,000 visitors from Dhaka and its neighbouring region.

According to the organisers ZAK Garmentech Bangladesh has emerged as the premier international Apparel Technology Trade Show of Bangladesh. They say it has served as an ideal platform for the Bangladesh apparel industry to update and upgrade their technology. Tipu Sultan, General Manager of Zakaria trade and fair international said: "Our country's main export product is garments and this trade is rapidly progressing and modernizing. If we stand this trade in the international market than we need new technology and for this reason the international apparel and technology fair Garmentech is held."

More than 250 exhibitors from 30 leading garment technology manufacturing countries will attend with their latest technology related to sewing, knitting, embroidery, laundry, finishing, dyeing, cutting machines, CAD/CAM and leading fabrics, accessories and support services sector.

The main objective in organizing the fair is to provide the Bangladesh garment industry with a forum to develop new alternate sources of suppliers, make new contacts and to discover and capitalize on the new opportunities that will be brought to the industry by means of this trade fair. An international seminar and workshop will also be held with the participation of world renowned technologists and consultants.

The organisers say that it is a perfect meeting place for buyers and sellers related to the garments sector. Producers, exporters and importers of world renowned garment machinery from USA, Europe, Canada, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, India, and Korea have already confirmed participation.
