This is a complete range of fine yarns for top quality knitwear in Super 120'S certified wool.

Thanks to a raw material that in terms of purity and fineness (17.5 microns) adheres to highest quality wool standards, a fine and elegant yarn is obtained that enables us to rediscover the true meaning of luxury knitwear and rare tactile pleasure.

Millennium is also available in versions with SUPERWASH and NANO TECHNOLOGY-WATERPROOF treatments, or COMFORT with Elité.

The most fancy version of Millennium is MIRANDA, a minimal gossamer mouliné whose high quality and aesthetic beauty has much to do with its fine count linen.

Superfine Wools

Our research continues to produce yarns made from ever finer wool.

Super 120'S: Super Extrafine (15.5 microns),  Sixteen Super Extrafine (16.5 microns), Limited Edition 200’S Super Extrafine (13,5 micron)

 Our strict selection policy enables us to process extremely fine wools, with controlled and guaranteed technical and morphological characteristics.

With these high quality raw materials we have developed extremely fine and innovative products which, in terms of resistance, elasticity, fluidity and pilling, and for their amazing soft touch, are very similar to the types of cashmere currently on the market.

Garments produced with these yarns are perfect and light, sophisticated and seductive.

High-tech machinery is essential for spinning these yarns, as well as many years of experience in the area.

Pure Cashmere:

Blended silk has a wonderful charm

The charm of blended silk underwear with natural fibres.

Silk is an essential fabric of the season, with its sheen and the brilliance it gives to colours.

The nature of this fibre lends itself to elegant plays of light on the yarn, which, in an intimate blend with cashmere and with super fine wool, make knitwear a precious item.

The resulting yarns are refined and elegant, but also functional and high-tech, which are available in a rich variety of count combinations. The yarns are designed to make snappier knitwear, to create plays of lightness to achieve maximum comfort.

 Organic Wool Ecowool, Ecobambu’

The Raw Material used is Certified and Guaranteed, for each individual batch, in accordance with stringent legislative standards of their country of origin. The production areas, breeding techniques and collection methods (shearing) guarantee the preservation and safeguarding of the soil, the water and the air so as to maintain the alternation and natural qualities of the biological cycles, and the correct supply of the nutritional substances used for plant and animal life.

With regard to the Raw material, the following conditions are also guaranteed: no use of pesticides,

no use of chemical additives , no use of substances harmful for the health of man or animals, no use of invasive techniques for looking after the animals .

The transformation of the Raw material into finished yarn is performed by means of processes, biological/biodegradable systems completely free of chlorine and chlorine derivatives. The dyeing process respects the rules of the OEKO TEX 2 standard and, on request (for colours for which it is technically feasible), the OEKO TEX 1 standard. The finishing phase is executed with natural products (natural fats, aloe, etc.), in full respect of bio-ecological practices.

Holiday “High Twist”

A wool-only stretch yarn, it has a totally natural elasticity and a smooth firm surface, with a crepe twist. This is a friction-resistant yarn that’s suitable for machine-washing, and it offers the pleasure of wearing unshrinkable garments that won’t crumple. Clothes made with this yarn are comfortable and have exceptional heat regulation properties.

Strength and style, accompanied by the cherished qualities of natural raw materials prized for their ability to remain in harmony with all the body’s movements.

“Supermelange” new technology of colour

Zegna Baruffa’s merino and cashmere wools gain new prestige with the new and innovative Supermelange technology applied to its yarns. This technology makes it possible to achieve astonishing chromatic effects by developing a range of tones featuring an exceptional fusion of colour. Colours made using Supermelange technology are available in the following yarns: Millennium (Super 120’S), Today (Super 120’S and Cashmere), Privilege and Excellence (100% cashmere) and Cashwool®.

Cotton and Linen

Two more 100% natural yarns, linen and cotton – fibres of the season – are presented in exceptionally fine counts in the most refined versions to add sophistication to the touch of knitwear hands and give it freshness.

Cotton to the touch is finely crepe, sanded for the finest count in 3/100. The knitwear appears “matt” and is perfectly sharp and clean.

These yarns are suitable for transparent knitwear and the colours are some of the most intense and brilliant in the collection.

Cotton is also used in re-twisted yarns with wool for more compact, springlike feel and also to achieve mouliné effects.

Pure linen is for the classic 12 gauge fineness, the appearance is glossy and satin-like, and the feel is fresh and thick. In terms of quality this is a perfect yarn, and it can be heat-crushed to obtain flat lacquered surfaces.

All the colours in the Tendency portfolio can be created as well as custom colours, and the yarn is suitable for both menswear and womenswear.

Linen is also re-twisted with cotton for looks that are more casual and basic.
