The software solution for warp beam management

With the ProFab beammanager TEXION has developed a module that offers comprehensive, convenient management functions for facilitating the management of warp beams and sectional beams. It helps to keep track of the yarns being available on stock and offers sophisticated functions for arranging warp beams and assigning them to selected machines. The characteristics of each individual beam are deposited in the ProFab database from where they are automatically called up and transferred to the machine’s control system when the beam is put onto the machine. The same function is available vice versa: when the beam is taken off from the machine, the actual data of the beam are written back to the database so that it is always up-to-date.

The automatic assignment of warp beams to production jobs is a feature of this module that helps quality assurance by permitting in case of need, in particular in case of detected defects, to trace the finished fabric back to individual sectional beams. Consequently it can be diagnosed very quickly, if a certain batch does not meet quality requirements and any non-conformance can then be remedied very early.
