The 2013 edition of ShanghaiTex aims to pioneer the transformation and upgrading of the Chinese textiles industry by bringing a full array of textile products, machinery and technology from China and all over the world under one roof.
The world’s leading manufacturer of socks and hosiery knitting machines Lonati, showed its latest innovations for Asian producers at last week’s ITMA ASIA + CITME 2012 in Shanghai. The Brescia headquartered company which produces around 8000 machines per year showed no fewer than 14 different machines many of which were either new or updated models.
ITMA, the world’s most established textile and garment machinery exhibition, will put the spotlight on innovations that promote sustainability for its 17th presentation in Milan, Italy, in 2015. A trendsetting showcase of exciting innovations since 1951, the theme chosen for the 2015 edition is ‘Master the Art of Sustainable Innovation’.
Italian circular knitting machine builder Pilotelli showed a number of innovations at last week’s ITMA ASIA + CITME in Shanghai, which were said to be very well received by Chinese visitors to the company’s stand.
The third ITMA ASIA + CITME combined exhibition kicked off here in Shanghai today at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The show has drawn a very strong response as textile machinery makers continue to leverage the established branding of ITMA ASIA and CITME to market their latest textile machinery and related technology.
Warp knitting machinery pioneer Karl Mayer will be exhibiting at next week’s ITMA Asia + CITME in Shanghai and says visitors to its stand in hall 5 will be treated to a first-class machine show.
Around 1300 exhibitors from 28 countries are gearing up to showcase their latest technologies at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2012 as the countdown for the third combined show begins. All of the world’s leading manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the knitting industry will be exhibiting and a full list of exhibitors can be downloaded at the foot of this article.
The Italian textile
machinery industry is getting ready for the ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition which
will be held in Shanghai from 12-16 June where its focus will be on technologically
sustainable solutions.

According to Germany’s VDMA Textile Machinery Association, the forthcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME in Shanghai is an excellent platform for German technology suppliers who will play a key role in the technological upgrading of the Chinese textiles industry.
The current challenges in the economic climate do not seem to have adversely affected demand
for space at the third ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition and due to the overwhelming
response, the show owners say they have now booked the remaining available
space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
The combined show
which will be held from 12 to 16 June 2012, is owned by CEMATEX and its Chinese
partners, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex),
