China ranks as the top one hosiery export country in the world. The 13th Shanghai International Hosiery Purchasing Expo, which will take place from 26-28 March at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, has grown to 25,000 square metres, with more than 500 exhibiting companies coming to present their latest socks and hosiery trends and technologies.

Shanghai International Hosiery Purchasing Expo (CHPE) is a professional and influential socks and hosiery exhibition, widely recognised by the hosiery industry. CHPE is dedicated to serving the global hosiery enterprises by building an efficient trading platform for both exhibitors and purchasers.

Expansion

After 12 years, the exhibition continues to evolve. For 2018, the show will expand its exhibition area to 25,000 square metres. More than 500 exhibitors will participate in the event. The Expo will include a comprehensive display of the manufacturing chain, from yarns, finished socks/hosiery products, hosiery machines, to packaging machines.

Moreover, in response to the needs of professional purchasers, CHPE 2018 will also hold special exhibitions of a wider range of textile products, such as hats, scarfs and gloves, as well as the augmented products of the hosiery industry.

Chinese hosiery market

As a major textile exporting country, China also ranks as the top one hosiery export country in the world. Its unique industrial advantages have helped establish specialised manufacturing sites around the country, such as Zhuji Datang, Haining, Yiwu, Jiangyin, Liaoyuan in the Northeastern China, Guangdong, and Xinjiang.

“While China is enforcing the supply-side reformation, the hosiery industry also faces the challenges and opportunities brought by the industry transformation and upgrade. Focusing on product innovation and promoting brand building has become the focus of the enterprise development,” organisers report.

International exhibitors

International exhibitors from Turkey, Pakistan, Korea and Japan will bring various hosiery brands to the exhibition and present the latest global fashion of the hosiery products.

For a more enriched visit, the Expo will also hold a VIP buyers club, hosiery industry development forum, hosiery fashion show, cross-border e-commerce forum and an overseas business matching meeting. “These events will not only provide the exhibitors and visitors with the latest industry news, but also give them a great opportunity for face-to-face interactions,” organisers report.
