Nilit appoints new GM

Israeli yarns producer Nilit, a leader in the production of nylon 6.6, has announced that Arie Gottlieb is to step down after thirteen years as General Manager. He will be replaced by Zion Ginat.

Israeli yarns producer Nilit, a leader in the production of nylon 6.6, has announced that Arie Gottlieb is to step down after thirteen years as General Manager. He will be replaced by Zion Ginat.

For the past 25 years, Arie Gottlieb successfully filled a variety of important positions at Nilit until being appointed General Manager 13 years ago. During his tenure, Nilit experienced outstanding growth, successfully expanding both its Plastics and Fibers divisions.

“I am completing a challenging and fascinating period at Nilit,” commented Arie.

“Together, we have made a long journey overcoming unprecedented global economic crises and significant changes in the textile and plastics industries. I have no doubt that despite the difficult market; Nilit is determined and ready to continue its growth.”

Michael Levi, Nilit’s Chairman, thanked Arie for his dedication to Nilit. “Arie’s thoughtful leadership inspired us all. Nilit is indebted to him. I would like to thank Arie for his contribution and look forward to his continued involvement in Nilit.”

Replacing Arie is Zion Ginat, who most recently held the position of CEO of energy company Delek in Europe. He will officially take up his new role as Nilit General Manager on January 1, 2013.

Zion commented on his new appointment: “I am eager to build on the considerable achievements of Arie and to work with all our partners and employees to continue to drive Nilit forward. Before me stands the challenge of maintaining Nilit’s leadership position in nylon fibres for the textile industry. I am confident we will overcome all obstacles to grow even stronger.”

Nilit Ltd. produces nylon 6.6 and microfiber yarns in a broad selection of dtex and filament counts, lustre levels, and types of cross-sections. Nilit’s high-quality yarns are used for knitwear, wovens and spandex covering applications for the production of fashionable and functional leg wear, body wear, intimate apparel and active wear.

Nilit Ltd. is a privately owned company with headquarters in Israel. It works closely with its international customer base from offices in Italy, the United States, Germany, France, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Suzhou, China.
