Italian consortium Re.Verso will present a new fully integrated supply chain system for fashion with a collection of innovative eco-centric fabrics that are 100% Made in Italy, at the upcoming Premiere Vision salon that takes place in Paris from 16-18 September.

The presentation in Paris is the result of a two year long collaboration between three protagonists: Gucci, C.L.A.S.S. and Re.Verso. Together the companies have worked towards a new and unique supply chain that could deliver more innovative yet responsible fashion.

C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity, Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy), a lifestyle consultancy and product platform, and a leading luxury brand Gucci, joined Re.Verso to develop an integrated plan to provide finished Re.Verso cachemire product for the Gucci AW15/16 men women and children collections. The tripartite group has been recognised for their project with the Kering Sustainability Award.

Transparent production line

Re.Verso, a partner of the C.L.A.S.S. eco-hub enterprise, is a new textile platform that comprises three top Italian mills – Nuova Fratelli Boretti, Green Line and Lanificio Stelloni, who together produce a fully integrated, 100% Made in Italy textile collection with a dynamic new approach to production.

The Re.Verso programme begins with collecting pre-consumer textile selected waste that is being converted into fibre through a mechanical process and then spun into yarns from which knitted, woven and knitwear fashion fabrics can be made, and then into finished garments in a traceable, transparent line of production.

Open door platform

Re.Verso has been designed as an open door platform, meaning that it welcomes input from all manufacturers to process their surplus waste through its system, and encouraging them to use their own selected mills to finalise fabrics.

The Re.Verso team represents a future of possibility rather than limitation, its concept becomes a dynamic, growing enterprise with no limits to creativity or business, the company reports.
