Nylstar, a leading brand of Polyamide 6.6 filaments and yarns, has introduced Meryl Sublime in the intimates market at the most recent Interfilière Paris that took place last weekend.

The new microfibre has been made with the finest filaments that can be as thin as 0,45 Dtex per Filament, providing a high level of ultimate comfort.

Naiara Garcia, Intimates and Swimwear Category Manager at Meryl, commented: “The feedback received about Meryl Sublime among intimates and swimwear brands has been very positive. Meryl Sublime is most appreciated for its super soft silky touch, one of the many qualities of this performance fibre.

Unique silky touch

Drying this extremely fine fibre requires a delicate process, the company reports, and the key is in the design of its spinnerets, that gives each minuscule fibre its form and its specific performance characteristics. The work of combining all the variables is still performed largely by hand.

This fibre was for the first time introduced in 2013, becoming one of the selected fibres by ISPO Munich only in 2014.

Meryl Sublime is said to possess a unique silky touch yet it is a performance fibre. According to the manufacturer, it is the most exquisite flat multi-microfibre that consumers will find in the intimates market.

Fresh and light

Meryl Sublime can be provided in 10 different dope dyed colours: black, white, grey, ivory, biscotti, stock blue, rouge pink, flame, camel and deep sky blue. The product offers fabrics with special properties.

Meryl Sublime quickly draws perspiration away from the skin to the exterior of the fabric for evaporation. Ten km of Meryl Sublime can be as light as 26 grams, providing extremely light and comfortable fabrics.

And finally, thanks to the twisting process, fabrics made with Meryl Sublime avoid pilling effects without giving up softness – up to 24 twist per metre, the company reports.
