“The Brazilian textile industry ranks among the world’s first ten textile-clothing businesses, with over 30.000 companies that all in all employ 1.6 million people”. This was recently confirmed by ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, pointing out that “the strong international competition has made it necessary, in the course of the past few years, to implement a resolute investment policy to update the existing technology, so much so that Brazil is today the sixth largest foreign market for the Italian textile machine makers”.

That’s why Havertex, a leading company in the Italian textile machinery sector, is in the “front line” amongst the partners of Brazilian textile mills. Always according to ACIMIT, in fact, in 2006 the sales of Italian textile machines reached a value of 57 million Euros, while in the first half of 2007, exports stabilized at 28 million Euros, with a 30% increase over the same period of the previous year.

“To our company, Brazil is no doubt of great interest” Simone Balconi, owner of Havertex, explains “in consideration also of the fact that the most sought-after Italian machines are those devoted to the knitting sector (38%) and then to finishing (21%)”.

In order to present its machines and to meet its customers, the company will attend Febratex 2008, the most important Brazilian exhibition of the textile sector, scheduled to run, from 12th to the 15th August 2008, at the Vila Germanica Convention Center, Blumenau Santa Catarina (in Brazil).

This exhibition is now in its 11th year and is steadily growing. It embraces all the sectors of the textile chain, especially as regards the mechanics sector.

“Quality, innovation and reliability are the characteristics of the Italian textile machinery industry that Brazil most highly regards; but they are also the “underlying theme” of the production of our company, which was created some years ago to answer the ever growing demand for technology and dependability, that the knitting market addresses to the manufacturers of circular knitting machines”.

It ought to be pointed out that Havertex Srl, headquartered at Castiglione delle Stiviere, in the province of Mantua, is today marketing not “only” single-bed and double-bed circular knitting machines as well. In point of fact, an agreement was recently signed, according to which Havertex is thelicensee of the Rimach flat knitting machines for the whole South America.
