FIMAST 2014, an international textile machinery and accessory trade show, expands its offer this year as it prepares to open its doors to trade members, international buyers, designers and stylists from 17-20 September.

The event will be held at the Centro Fiera Internazionale Del Garda, in Montichiari, Brescia, where it hopes to prove that the Italian and European hosiery machine building industry is still a dynamic force to be reckoned with and that the Brescia based exhibition is a viable and desirable alternative to FAST which ceased to exist after it was last held in 2005.

One of the most important international textile machinery and accessory trade shows in Italy from this year on will be enlarged and will show on display raw materials, yarns, machinery, accessories, component parts and more.

Successful and anticipated

The trade fair recorded a 20% increase in exhibition space uptake compared to the last show in 2012. “We got real satisfaction from FIMAST and unexpected feedback. The 2014 edition has now been exceeded by 20% the number of companies of 2012 edition,” organisers said.

This year for the first time also FIMAST has opened its doors to producers of socks and hosiery, who will have a specially dedicated area at the event.

Visitors and exhibitors will enjoy workshops in cooperation with Centro Servizi Calze e Promos Milano and the forum will tackle topics as: product traceability; financing companies for 2014/2020 with the Horizon 2020 programme; new industry regulations and corresponding adaptation.

Exhibition App

Organisers also introduce an App to help visitors get around the exhibition and let exhibitors gather contact information from visitors.

Every time a visitor enters a stand, exhibitors will be able to download their data reading their QR code with an IPhone or IPad.
