Unifi has released preliminary operating results for its second fiscal quarter ended December 23, 2012. The Greensboro headquartered company reported net income of $2.4 million, compared to a net loss of $7.6 million, for the prior year fiscal quarter ended December 25, 2011. Net sales increased $5.0 million, or 3.0%, to $172 million for the December 2012 quarter, compared to net sales of $167 million for the December 2011 quarter.
PVH (Phillips-Van Huesen) Corp. has licensed American Essentials Inc. and its parent company McGregor Industries Inc. to market and distribute men's, women's and children's hosiery and legwear under the IZOD brand. The initial term of the license agreement runs through 2017 and provides for a three-year renewal at PVH's option.
