Invista acquires US-based FR apparel company

Fibre producer Invista has acquired Ashburn Hill Corp., along with its associated intellectual property, including the Tecgen brands and a manufacturing operation in Texas. The company says Tecgen flame resistant garment products will expand its existing performance and protective fabric offerings, as well as add a new skill set to the company.

Fibre producer Invista has acquired Ashburn Hill Corp., along with its associated intellectual property, including the Tecgen brands and a manufacturing operation in Texas. The company says Tecgen flame resistant garment products will expand its existing performance and protective fabric offerings, as well as add a new skill set to the company.

Tecgen fibre is a patented process developed with ‘the next-generation of flame resistance technology’ for protective clothing including coveralls, base layers and hoods. The fabric is produced in the USA and sold through a North American distribution network.
