In collaboration with Fulgar, a specialist in synthetic fibre, Maglificio Ripa is launching its Nanofiber project focusing on the creation of highly technological fabrics that it says will be able to outscore nylon 6.6 used for underwear, beachwear, sportswear and clothing.

The project responds to the increased demand for better performing fabrics that will feature a soft and silky hand at the same time as guaranteeing high levels of functionality and the highest breathability.

The implementation of these ideas are said to be possible thanks to the latest nanofibre technology, which makes it possible to produce 7micron diameter filaments capable of combining soft touch, lightness, as well as excellent coverage, the company reports.

Luxurious innovation

“It is a project we rely very much on and which moved us beyond the busiest routes for the purpose of finding and offering a kind of fabric which we could not even think of until recently,” commented Fabio Cescon, Marketing Manager at Maglificio Ripa Spa.

“We decided to step into the direction of an evident luxury product able to combine a super-technological soul with really silky hand and appearance. Additionally, it guarantees high colour resistance to washing and excellent breathability.”
