Missoni, the iconic Italian knitwear fashion brand, has developed  a new Autumn-Winter 2013 collection featuring knits in denim jackets and jeans, together with Jean Machine, the contemporary men's denim manufacturer.

Simple style statement

The collaboration of two fashion brands offers Jean Machine's JM2 straight leg jean in a clean blue Rinse wash with Missoni knitted pockets in the season's blue-camel colour pallet.

Another product is the classic JM4 jacket, reworked to include a button out detachable Missoni zigzag felted wool waistcoat in a coordinating blue-camel knit.

Missoni believes that the new men's A/W 2013 collection references the family's artisanal knitwear heritage while continuing its constant focus on innovating exclusive knit techniques, represented in the unique Missoni fine loom knits only made in Sumirago, Italy, that form the core of the brand's tailored offering for A/W 2013.

Denim revolution

Initially used mostly by farm workers, denim clothing made its way from sturdy trousers and baggy jackets some 150 years ago to the modern high street brands, available now in all kinds of different designs.

Being the symbol of youth rebellion during the 50s, jeans were banned in some public places, yet became one of the most popular clothing items that could be found in everybody’s wardrobe.

Today, strong demand and the latest technology and dyeing techniques available,  denim clothing production is once again  at its peak.

Brands

According to the British menswear brand Jean Machine, the concept behind the brand lies in great quality, well-cut jeans and casual men's clothing. The relaunched brand is said to offer an uncomplicated, concise wardrobe for the modern man.

Missoni, the Italian fashion house, celebrates its 60th birthday this year. Tied to the aesthetic innovation and technical invention that have always changed the identity of knitwear, Missoni is one of the leading fashion and design brands in the world.
