New swimwear collection with Xtra Life Lycra

Integrated fibre, resin and intermediates company Invista has renewed its partnership with Billabong Girl clothing brand’s in a new swimwear collection. With the entire collection featuring Xtra Life Lycra fibre, the swimwear will be able to stand the test of time against degradation from chlorine, sunscreen, oils, perspiration or heat, according to Invista. Xtra Life Lycra is also said to resist fibre breakage five times longer than other chlorine-resistant elastane.

Integrated fibre, resin and intermediates company Invista has renewed its partnership with Billabong Girl clothing brand’s in a new swimwear collection.

With the entire collection featuring Xtra Life Lycra fibre, the swimwear will be able to stand the test of time against degradation from chlorine, sunscreen, oils, perspiration or heat, according to Invista. Xtra Life Lycra is also said  to resist fibre breakage five times longer than other chlorine-resistant elastane.

Renewed partnership

Michèle Duncan, marketing account manager at Intimate Apparel/Swimwear at Invista, said: “This summer’s renewed partnership between Invista and Billabong is exciting news. We are proud of the continued association with such a globally recognised brand and the incorporation of Xtra Life Lycra fibre in the fabulous Billabong Girl swim collection.”

Colour of Love

Within the Colour of Love campaign, Billabong created a monthly online Lookbook, with the Blue Lookbook dedicated to the Billabong Girl swimwear range with Xtra Life Lycra that is active in May and June.

The Lookbook campaign is to be amplified across various social media platforms. It will also include a contest in which the public is asked to upload photos associated with the colour blue.
