Nilit , a global manufacturer and leader in the production of nylon 6.6, will officially open its new nylon production facility in Suzhou in China's Jiangsu province on June 3, 2008. Nilit executives will host a formal celebration with customers and dignitaries to commemorate the grand opening. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 9:30 am local time.

"We are very proud and excited to welcome the new Suzhou facility into Nilit's global manufacturing network," says, Oded Breier, Nilit's marketing and sales manager. "Our Suzhou plant will upgrade the availability and quality of textured nylon yarns offered in the region and will also increase local access to Nilit's technical experts. This will be extremely valuable to our Chinese customers, especially those exporting to Western apparel markets."

The 10,000 square meter facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment including new Barmag texturing machines. Initially, the plant will produce textured nylon yarns but plans are in place to expand capacity and to add spinning capabilities. Nilit's unique energy conservation and recycling innovations have also been incorporated into the Suzhou plant design to ensure that the facility operates in an environmentally responsible manner. The facility will employ approximately 100 local workers.

The grand opening ceremony will celebrate Suzhou culture. Distinguished guests will be welcomed by greeters in authentic dress and will be treated to local music and dance exhibitions. Apparel made with Nilit yarns will be modelled in a high-energy fashion show. Nilit will celebrate with guests at a festive Appreciation Luncheon featuring local cuisine.
