Intertextile, held annually in China, is the leading international trade fair for apparel fabrics and accessories. This year the tradeshow will take place from 21-24 October in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with a special focus on sustainability and recycling in the textile industry.

Ecofriendly yarn

Nilit will showcase its innovative Ecocare yarn at a special ‘All About Sustainability’ zone of the show.

Nilit Ecocare is the first patented nylon 6.6 recycled fibre with deep, uniform colour, both environmentally friendly and highly fashionable, the company reports. Its is certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) for a minimum of 90% recycled content.

“This recycled fibre retains the properties of Nilit’s virgin fibres and gives excellent colour depth and uniformity in the regular dye process,” commented Alon Weiser, Nilit’s R&D and Technical Services Manager.

Green-centric ethos

“Our Nilit Ecocare recycled yarn is a reflection of Nilit's long-standing consideration for the environment. Part of our commitment to creating high-quality products includes an awareness of our environment, and a desire to implement eco-friendly processes in their creation,” commented Michal Ron Gavish, Global Marketing Manager at Nilit.

“We’ve done just that, by creating a fantastically versatile fabric from recycled products.”
