Nylstar boss plans to double turnover in next 5 years

Nylstar, one of the leading suppliers of polyamide 6.6, has announced the appointment of Zigor Kortazar as Corporate General Manager and plans to double its turnover in the next 5 years. The newly created position, according to Nylstar, will be key to managing the growth of the company, which so far this year has increased its turnover by 20%. Zigor Kortazar will embrace the challenge of leading a group in full expansion that expects to maintain at least a rate of 20% annual growth over the next five years and increase its production capacity by a total of 10,000 tons in the next five years.

Expanding

With challenging conditions both in the textiles industry and in the market, Nylstar’s performance has shown the positive results due to a very oriented geographic growth as well as a focus in innovation.

So far this year, the company has expanded its workforce, primarily in sales and marketing areas, but also in R&D. During the first six months Nylstar has significantly increased its presence at trade fairs, introducing new products, such as Meryl Nexten Plus. This trend is expected to continue in 2013, with new innovations coming through.

Leading forward

Nylstar’s commitment to employment and to the recovery of the textiles industry in Spain is highlighted by the recent opening of an office in Yiwu, China, which consolidates Nylstar as a global company.

Kortazar has over 15 years of experience in senior management positions in large companies. Nylstar He studied Law in the Universidad del País Vasco and has an MBA from ESADE.
