Duelegs, a brand of the Gambetti Group, which boasts long history in the legwear sector, has chosen the upcoming Interfilière Paris trade fair to launch a unique new garment that its developers say is destined to become the fashion of the future. Tightings is said to be the perfect combination of the latest generation seamless tights and the classic leggings.

Tightings is a technical innovation that is said to be inspiring a new product category. It’s made using an exclusive patent pending technology by Duelegs made on a classic tights machine, adapted to create garments that can be worn as outerwear.

High performance yarns

For the launch, Duelegs has created a collection made exclusively with Fulgar yarn and Lycra elastane fibre to provide maximum comfort and fit. The collection has four unique models, each featuring a high-performance yarn by Fulgar.

·      Bianca with Nanofibra by Fulgar, with a thermal effect

·      Celeste with Evo by Fulgar, with an ultra-light effect

·      Rossana with Emana by Fulgar, with a Kinesio Taping effect

·      Viola with Q-Skin by Fulgar, with a skincare effect

“This collection is all about innovation and is designed to give women something totally new,” Fulgar explains. “As well as the special features every model offers, the main benefits of Tightings can be found in the extraordinary feeling of well-being and freedom they give to their wearers, thanks to a total absence of seams on the legs and the presence of Lycra elastic fibre, which enables the garments to embrace the female silhouette, enhancing and emphasising the wearer's shape, bringing out the best of her natural appeal, with a light compression and reshaping effect where necessary.”

“It's a significant challenge for us, one that means breaking out of the world of female legwear to enter the much wider sportswear world, which has experienced exponential growth in recent years. We've invested two years of our energy in research and development, to the point where we are now ready to launch Tightings and we have chosen, also for this important project, a qualified partner such as Fulgar, a company that always supports us with its innovative yarns. We are optimistic that our innovation will shake up the legwear market, which has long remained static", says William Gambetti, CEO,  Gambetti Group.

Evolution

“We're happy that we are a partner in this project. Tightings is an evolution of the tights concept, creating a highly contemporary appeal that transforming what used to be a simple accessory into a garment that can also be worn as outerwear, providing the most effective response to every woman's needs and desires,” commented Alan Garosi, Marketing Manager of Fulgar.

Gambetti Group will be present at Interfilière with Fulgar technologies in pavilion G69.

Fulgar is an international leader in the man-made fibre market with production and distribution of polyamide 6.6 and covered elastomers in the textile and technical sector.

Founded in the 1970s at Castel Goffredo (Mantova) in the heart of Italy's hosiery district, the company carved out a role as sector leader and now boasts Europe's largest nylon 6.6 yarn factory.

Fulgar’s global attitude is also reflected by its internationalization strategy, with the opening of new production centres in Sri Lanka in 2003 and Serbia in 2007. The company is present in many textile sectors, from hosiery to circular knits, corsetry, swimming and sport, with high-quality products that stand out for their excellence and uniqueness, not overlooking the Made in Italy textile tradition.

“The great versatility of the products is the result of Fulgar's design, development and manufacturing structure, which always remains aware of the look, functionality and comfort clients require. That's why the company is constantly increasing its investment in R&D, with a significant increase in the last three years, in parallel with a deep commitment to environmental issues that takes the form of projects and initiatives involving the entire production process,” Fulgar concludes.

In 2009 Fulgar became an official partner of Invista, owner of the Lycra brand, for the exclusive distribution in Europe and Turkey of Lycra Fibre, Lycra T400 and Elaspan Fibre brands.

In 2012 Fulgar also became exclusive distributor and producer of Emana fibre, owned by the Rhodia-Solvay group, for Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
