The 17th international exhibition for textile industry, ShanghaiTex 2015, will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center from 15-18 June 2015, featuring seven theme zones accounting for nine exhibition halls, with over 100,000 square meters of exhibition area.

By analyzing the latest printing and dyeing development in environmental protection and the new sustainable solutions, ShanghaiTex 2015 aims at providing cost-effective, efficiency-enhancing and competitive solutions to textile enterprises.

The Printing, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery & Textile Chemicals Zone gathers the leading exhibitors from domestic and abroad, including: Fong's National Engineering, Tecnorama, Bianco, Corino, Brazzoli, Thies, Leimer, Gofront, Santex, Asia Kingdom, Hsing Cheng, Tong Geng, Benninger, Seiren, Jebsen & Co, Cheng Fu, Yuan Xin, Jian Xin, and more.

Water usage optimization in printing

China's Twelfth Five-Year Plan for textile industry has set several requirements on the upgrade of textile technology, equipment and standards. As one of the severe pollution industry, textile industry has caused exhaust emission, coal resource waste and sewage discharge. Mario Scatizzi, owner of an Italian exhibitor Tecnorama, shares his ideas on environmental protection and ways to achieve energy conservation.

“Our product can reach right at the first time quality through analysis and innovation, to prevent human error and ensure reproducibility by using automatic machinery. The technology of Tecnorama optimizes the use of resources, enhances zero emission production to realize actual energy saving,” explained Mario Scatizzi.

Mr Scatizzi will also present a brand new technology by Tecnorama – Ecodyerama, a special instrument designed to control washing water quality by optimizing water usage, avoiding unnecessary washing and reducing wastewater discharge.

Energy savings

ShanghaiTex 2015 focuses on providing green solutions and innovative technology to help enterprises with sustainable development. Printing and dyeing is an energy and water consuming and polluting industry. Energy saving, clean production and water recycling are issues of great importance, organisers report.

Mario Scatizzi is optimistic about current energy saving status and development of China's textile printing and dyeing industry. He believes the industry has already started to solve this problem, as there are increasing enquiries on green and energy saving machinery.

In addition, Mario Scatizzi believes that leading enterprises have great powers and responsibilities. “Under the pressure of environmental awareness, they have to adopt the latest technology to reduce pollution and save resources. If they require their working partners to use new machines for environmental protection, it may form a virtuous cycle of improving global pollution,” he said.

Concurrent event

As well as the display of machinery and technology, a series of concurrent events will be arranged during ShanghaiTex 2015 to further explore relevant issues.

Each year, jeans production discharges 420 million tons of polluted water in China, which is one of the largest denim manufactures in the world. The new Textile Wastewater Treatment Technology Forum will invite international experts to present the latest application and trends in water treatment technologies and explore eco-friendly denim solutions.
