Shima Seiki MFG, the leading Japanese computerized knitting machine manufacturer, together with its Brazilian representative Brastema Tecnologia Textil, will participate in the 13th Tech Fashion shows, a series of private exhibitions held in three locations in Brazil in June and July.

The exhibitions will be a showcase for the company’s latest selection of computerized flat knitting machines, with a new version of its flagship MACH2X series Wholegarment knitting machine with SlideNeedles mounted on four needlebeds and the MACH2S Wholegarment knitting machine.

The company will also display its SVR workhorse machine and the SCG coarse gauge machine, as well as the new SRY machine with loop pressers that produce unique knitwear with woven textures. Machine models to be exhibited will vary depending on the location of the exhibit.

Comprehensive support

Demonstrations will also be performed on Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that is at the core of the company’s Total Knitting System concept.

With comprehensive support of all aspects throughout the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

Especially effective is APEX3’s capability to improve on the planning process with Virtual Sampling, the company reports. Photo-realistic simulation capability is said to minimize the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.
