Leading computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. is to exhibit at the Première Vision show in New York in January 2013. On display will be the latest version of the Japanese company’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system.

The SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system will demonstrate its comprehensive support of the entire process of knitwear production from planning and production to sales promotion, as well as its capability for virtual sampling that offers significant savings in the sample making process.

Shima says it will also exhibit knitwear produced on its latest line of computerized knitting machines, including revolutionary Wholegarment knitwear that features superior fit, comfort and draping characteristics.

SDS-ONE APEX3

An "all-in-one" 3D design system that supports all aspects of fashion design and production, SDS-ONE APEX3 improves the planning process through photo-realistic simulation capability, effectively reducing time, material and cost in the sampling process through the use of virtual simulation.

Products can be checked in 3D using 3D simulation, 3D modeling, 3D fitting simulation and 3D mapping. SDS-ONE APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, pile knitting, weaving and printing.
