Leading yarns, knitwear and knitted fabrics trade fair SPINEXPO aims to bring to Shanghai the most complete international offer in the field of creative yarns and fibres, and asks visitors to join it along a journey of new discovery at the Shanghai World Expo Convention & Exhibition Centre from 11-13 March 2014.

SPINEXPO, which has become an indispensible meeting place for ready-to-wear brand manufacturers with collections of flat-bed and circular knits, wovens, hosiery and new warp seamless knits will feature fibres and yarns for knitwear, weaving and hosiery, as well as knitwear collections from the leading international knitwear manufacturers.

In addition to this, at the 23rd session in Shanghai in March an array of new display areas with a dynamic approach awaits visitors.

The Main Trend Area

The Main Trend Area reflects SPINEXPO’s expression of what it feels is the best representation of colour, trends and fabric directions of the season, and how intelligent machinery and textile technology can help invent better products. This is the area where fashion meets innovation, and according to organisers, there are many this season.

SPINEXPO recognises that knitting machinery manufacturers are important in order to get results and seamless wear machine manufacturer Santoni (Italy) and flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki (Japan) are therefore involved in the knitting area.

What’s in @ SPINEXPO

What’s in @ SPINEXPO is a specific trend area highlighting seasonal and non-seasonal fibres and yarns, as well as the hand-knitting, industrial knitting, and circular knitting sectors. Continuing with the eight tonal colour palettes as per previous seasons, young stylists under the guidance of Sophie Steller will have a free rein to interpret yarns from exhibiting companies and offer visitors a new dynamic approach, mixing their creations with swatches from spinners. This display will allow visitors to understand the specificity of each spinner’s collection, organisers say.

The Cashmere Boutique

The Cashmere Boutique is a special area with the goal to create a pop up boutique focused purely on a new generation of cashmere highlighting a fibre which can be technical, light and fashionable even in Spring/Summer.

Working from a bright palette, stylists, spinners and knitwear manufacturers will be working hand-in-hand to create a mini capsule designer collection to show cashmere in a whole new light.   Intelligent textiles, new printing technology and state-of-the art accessories will complete the offer.

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University invites visitors to the Art and Design Postgraduate Expo at SPINEXPO, a showcase of the some of the work of postgraduate students from its Fashion, Knitwear and Textile Design courses.

According to SPINEXPO, this fresh and inspiring display will be highly inspirational for the coming Spring/Summer 2015 season.

The Flow – Jersey @ SPINEXPO

The Flow – Jersey @ SPINEXPO is a display area dedicated to cut and sew, circular knit, and Santoni technology.  “As many of our spinners are also producing the lifestyle sport fabrics collection inspiring the leading brands, we will be showing a more feminine aspect of what to do with knitted fabrics and how sport derived products, leading machinery and fashion can get together to create additional style,” SPINEXPO says.
