Eschler comfort systemHi-tech warp and circular knitted fabrics producer Christian Eschler AG, has reported that the early international trade shows for 2009 have been a great success for the company.

Eschler says it is delighted with the attention its summer 2010 collection received at Munich Fabric Starts, Outdoor Retailer and ISPO. The company’s product development team focused in particular on its e1 base layer for this season.

Eschler’s summer 2010 collection with its high-quality, functional materials received very positive feedback at the Munich Fabric Starts as well as the Outdoor Retailer Show and at ISPO. In Salt Lake City, the Swiss brand premiered with its own booth. Sales- & Marketing Manager Philip Schär said:

“Regarding the difficult financial situation worldwide, the shows have been extremely successful for us and not only on the European market. Our fabrics are also very popular on the North American market, especially for outdoor, bike and skiwear. We are particularly happy about new customers Kühl, Pearl Izumi and Cannondale.”

New Life 100% PCR polyesterThe highlights of the summer 2010 collection include:

- Four new e1 qualities with Dry Touch yarns, made from polyester fibre with a channelled structure by Turkish yarn producer Korteks. Eschler says that the five channel cross-section filaments increase the surface area, thus guaranteeing outstanding moisture management and great comfort even during high aerobic activities.

- e1 Flash summarizes six technical qualities which “dry in a flash”. The innovative fabrics unite two different surface materials: the combination of polyester on the inside and polyamide on the outside offer outstanding moisture management as well as excellent cooling properties. The polyamide outer material also guarantees high abrasion resistance.

- Eschler committed itself to an environmentally friendly production cycle by becoming a bluesign® system partner some time ago. With the introduction of six new fabrics (two in each layer, e1, e2 and e3), the Swiss brand enforces its dedication for a more sustainable system. The range uses ‘New Life’ yarns by Italian producer Miroglio made of 100% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Polyester – in this case, PET bottles.
