Interfilière, the international trade fair for intimates and beachwear fabrics, has announced the theme for its Paris edition that will take place next month.

In partnership with the Fédération de la Maille & de la Lingerie, Interfilière Paris is showcasing exhibitors’ techniques and know-how through the prism of wellbeing – comfort and wellbeing, body-care and protection, softness, beauty and seduction.

Referring to IPSOS observation that “access to wellbeing is now an essential condition for being happy”, Interfilière  highlights the importance of the ‘quest for wellbeing’ and outlines a new segment of beachwear and intimates that is believed to be required in this market with regards to this growing trend: “Boosted by the development of innovative technologies, recent textile complexes are designed with our wellbeing firmly in mind. A fact that has not gone unnoticed by the end-consumer”.

According to Interfilière, the intimates industry is focused more than ever on offering more functional textiles, fulfilling consumers’ requirements.

There are three features that have been designed to keep show visitors up-to-date with all the latest information.

Wellbeing space

This exhibition and information space will highlight fabrics from about forty Interfilière Paris exhibitors, as well as finished products which satisfy the perpetual quest for wellbeing, in the form of an overview of the everyday lives of a young couple – their working day, social life, cocooning at home and relaxing weekends.

Relaxing breaks with massage sessions, presentation and signing of the book ‘High-Tech Fashion and Fabrics’ by the co-author Sophie Bramel are among the events available to the visitors.

Two exhibitors will also be available to share their expertise in this area: Robert Blondel Cosmétiques, an expert in the micro-encapsulation of cosmetic ingredients, and Alvanon, a specialist in wellbeing and morphology.

Information leaflet

Designed for both visitors and exhibitors, the leaflet will offer an entertaining and informative overview of the technical features and innovations in the lingerie domain, such as seamless technologies, micro-encapsulation, bio-ceramic fibres, microfibres, anti-UV treatments and breathable textiles.

‘Wellbeing and textiles’ conference

The conference will be led by Dominique Demoinet and will take place on Monday, 8 July, starting at 11.30am. Offering socio-economic insight into the notion of wellbeing, the conference will be followed by a debate on the market’s development perspectives for the intimates and beachwear sector.

Morphology specialists, sensorial analysis experts, a writer, and a sensory wellbeing coach will discuss this concept, before handing over the microphone to brands and fabric manufacturers who will take a look at consumers’ expectations and development perspectives.
