2016 has already seen adidas make its mark with the ground-breaking release of the ACE 16+ PURECONTROL, the world's first high performance laceless football boot. Earlier this week, the company revealed the ACE 16.1 PRIMEKNIT, which brings their revolutionary flat knitted Primeknit material to the next generation of ACE football boots.

Bossing pitches everywhere from 30th January, the ACE 16.1 PRIMEKNIT is said to offer the ultimate in comfort and control to give players the confidence to dominate game after game.

For the first time, Primeknit, believed to be knitted on Stoll flat knitting machines, covers the whole upper of the boot for total 360-degree control allowing players to “boss everyone, with every touch, every part of the boot”. The 3D knit structure is also said to give unparalleled fit and grip. Specially engineered knit zones across the upper combine loose and tight formed knits to fit snugly to the unique shape of a player's foot, enabling perfect ball control, according to adidas.

The brand new internal knit support system extends up to the ankle collar for a sock-like fit that streamlines the boot's connection to the foot, so players can “boss the field with confidence”. The enhanced sprint frame construction aims to deliver the perfect balance and control, on and off the ball, while an enlarged heel pocket adds to the next-level comfort of the ACE 16.1 PRIMEKNIT.
