Biella Yarn, the flat knitting brand of Suedwolle Group, has launched its Spring/Summer 2027 collection entitled Reimagined, presenting a fresh approach to fibre design through innovative blends and advanced spinning technologies. Developed under the guiding theme “And the story goes on…”, the collection continues the company’s commitment to responsible yarn development while supporting modern craftsmanship.

A key innovation for the season is GM Morwell Nm 2/30 and 2/48, an intimate blend of 60% cotton and 40% extrafine Merino wool TEC from the Gammaspun range. The yarn combines cotton’s durability and dry handle with the softness and elasticity of wool, while natural tonal contrasts create subtle mélange effects that add depth to knitted garments.

The Gammaspun spinning technology allows cellulosic fibres to be combined with 20–50% Merino wool, producing yarns with a clean structure, smooth surface and improved resistance to pilling, making them particularly suitable for summer knitwear.

Also new is Alisei Nm 2/30 and 2/48 from the Karma-Yarns family, made from 80% extrafine Merino wool and 20% GRS recycled wool. This development reflects Suedwolle Group’s ongoing focus on circularity, transforming pre-production waste into high-quality yarns and reducing dependence on virgin raw materials.

The collection further expands its natural blends by introducing Avalon yarns incorporating Merino wool, ramie and linen. These blends offer lightweight, well-shaped knitwear while maintaining the inherent comfort and softness associated with wool.

Completing the range is Sesel Nm 2/60, a blend of extrafine Merino wool with alginate, a bio-based fibre derived from seaweed. The addition of alginate enhances cooling properties and provides a smooth, pleasant hand-feel.

The Spring/Summer 2027 colour palette balances bold, expressive tones with refined neutrals. Vibrant pinks, saturated reds and burnt orange shades are complemented by contemporary whites, beiges and greys, creating a versatile and modern seasonal offering.

In collaboration with MRC Knitwear Research Studio and luxury knitwear brand Ami Amalia, the new yarns are showcased in a variety of designs including crochet-inspired dresses and capes, airy net structures and elegant draped forms, highlighting the versatility of the collection.
