Cariaggi Fine Yarns Collection, a prestigious Italian spinner specialized in cashmere, vicuña and superfine wools is strengthening its presence in China yesterday, inaugurating a new sales office in Shanghai. The branch aims to follow Chinese and other Asian market customers more closely and as per the company’s heritage, will continue to maintain its production in Italy.

Cariaggi China’s new offices will be located at Room 802, No.218 Tianmu Rd (W), Shanghai 200070.

"The Asian market is giving us great satisfaction: in the first half of 2012 we have recorded a +149% value of orders in Hong Kong and a +98% in Japan, compared to the same period of 2011", said Piergiorgio Cariaggi, CEO of Cariaggi Fine Yarns Collection.

"We built an effective business relationship with China thanks to the joint venture we made to get the best cashmere. Moreover, in the last few years, China improved its market performance in terms of sales: although many Chinese companies can stock up on cashmere in neighboring areas, they prefer to buy our products, recognizing the quality of Italian workmanship and giving the right value to Made in Italy."

According to Carriagi, the opening of the new Cariaggi sales office in Shanghai aims at strengthening the two-way relationship between the two countries and supporting the company's growth in Asian markets.
