A North Carolina based hosiery company is preparing to introduce a new line of eco-friendly socks. Devmir, Inc. will unveil its brand new line of socks under the Sierra Club name, during a fundraiser in November called "Change your socks, change the world".

The socks are made from a combination of organic cotton, soy, bamboo, along with other eco-friendly and sustainable yarns. The line includes performance socks as well as dress/casual socks for men and women. The styles include peds, shorties, anklets and crew. The retail price per pair will range from $5 to $18.

During the "Change your socks, change the world" fundraiser, Devmir, Inc. will donate ten percent of the proceeds for each pair of socks sold to the Sierra Club. Diogenes Ruiz, President of Devmir, Inc. says "We didn't just want to make socks. We wanted to make socks with a purpose. That's why we teamed up with the Sierra Club." The goal of the fundraiser, Ruiz says, is to raise one million dollars.

In addition to the "Change your socks, change the world" fundraiser, Devmir, Inc. will donate one pair of socks to the National Coalition for the Homeless for each pair sold during the launch. The fundraiser will begin on November 1. All purchases can be made by going to: www.sierrasocks.com .
