North Carolina companies help families in need

NCFI Polyurethanes and Creative Ticking donate mattresses to Charlotte based Beds for Kids project.

Bedding producers, NCFI Polyurethanes and Creative Ticking, along with Charles and Christa Heilig, have combined their efforts to donate 60 mattresses to Charlotte based non-profit, Beds for Kids.

Beds for Kids mission is to provide beds and essential furniture to children of families in need. NCFI, a leading producer of high-quality foam mattress cores and Creative, an innovative producer of circular knitted ticking and covers, teamed up to build high quality mattresses for the project.

“NCFI is proud to be a small part of what this amazing organization does”, said Chris Bradley, Executive Vice President of Consumer Products for NCFI. “We share common values with Creative, so this partnership made perfect sense and we look forward to working with Creative again in the future.”

Founded by Ron and Janet Sytz in 2006, Creative Ticking is the bedding division of Beverly Knits, one of the largest circular knitters in the US. Beverly Knits is a leader in developing innovative fabrics used in markets ranging from active wear, intimate apparel, outdoor products, automotive, medical and industrial.

A division of Barnhardt Manufacturing Company, NCFI is a leading manufacturer of polyurethane foams, headquartered in Mount Airy, NC. NCFI has additional manufacturing plants in Houston, TX, Columbus, MS, Tupelo, MS and Dalton GA. The company also operates direct to consumer brand BedInABox.com.

Founded in 2010 by a group of individuals led by Daniel Fogarty and Tim Rowley, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Beds for Kids provides beds and essential furniture for children and families in need. Based in Charlotte, NC the group donated 2307 beds in 2021.
