Piave Maitex, an Italian knitted fashion fabrics producer, is celebrating 110 years with an innovative showcase of its latest products at the upcoming Interfilière Paris trade show - lingerie and swimwear fabrics taking place next month.

The company will present eco-sustainable fabrics suitable for applications in outerwear, outdoor, activewear and intimate clothing, made with microfiber polyester PerPETual and Roica Eco Smart, both recycled yarns. The company offers the most updated solution for those who want to combine respect for the environment and the advantages of a refined and technically valuable fabric in one product.

Another trend of this season is fabrics with natural fibres. “Our R&D team wanted to interpret this by designing stretch cotton and MicroModal meshes with high quality standards and shrinkage at the top of the category. The novelty does not stop here, because we wanted to enrich this range with a stretch cotton warp-knit with performance and control. All products in the range can be customised in colours of your choice,” the company explains.

Bands

The company will also exhibit its range of bands, which bring together the company’s creative abilities with avant-garde technical innovations. “The advantage of a material lies within its outstanding ergonomic features, differentiated elasticity and integrated grip, an effect obtained by the structure of the fabric and not by the application of silicone, optimising functionality and comfort,” the company reports.

These products are also made with various design and custom motifs, resulting in an absolutely eclectic line that ranges from the most glamorous proposals for underwear/shapewear, rich in decorative and functional options, up to proposals for the sports sector, where the characteristics of graduated compression and the integrated grip are ever so important.

One size fits all

Light fabrics that offer the possibility of covering more sizes than one is one of the widely established trends on the underwear and even top lingerie markets at the moment. “To the existing range we have added other articles characterised by light weights and above all by outstanding performance elasticity. Also available in jacquard version,” the company says.

A/W 2019/20 lingerie printed collection

In addition, the company will present its new lingerie printed collection Autumn/Winter 2019-2020, divided into four themes. Lightweight features seductive milky white embroidery meticulously printed with pigments on transparent fabrics, and pure white flocks printed on nets become elegant lace.

New Art features graphic designs, which alternate with softer lines and create movements that bring us back to Art Nouveau, coloured with dusty tints. Light gold satin-coloured printed effects embellish black semi-shiny base grounds.

Tribal celebrates small ethical designs of African inspiration, which adapt to ivory colour grounds. Designs made of ruffle and burn-outs on decidedly tribal colours, alternatively dyed black and nude, decorate the body simulating body painting. Finally, New Chic features small motifs and very coloured, ornamental flowers, which are dyed with medium dark tones but with definite touches of light.

Ennobled novelties

“The interest aroused by our Graphene line that allowed to unleash the horizons of cutting edge functional fabrics keeps on growing,” said the company. “The immediate comfort guaranteed by this product also in the exercise of sports activity is unprecedented, the result of its extraordinary thermo-conductive and thermo-regulating properties of the material already count today among the leaders for futuristic applications. Adopted by various top brands of sports, this product continues to attract the curiosity of the entire textile world that evaluates its advantages and use. We extended our product range with a wide choice and the ability to customize fabrics with different designs.”

Bonded fabrics is a mix of fashion and functionality that introduces the possibility of three matching different fabrics in one layer with striking and original effects. They can offer a high level of personalisation because in addition to the different bases you can combine different colours, the company explains. “This type of solution allows to obtain more resistant fabrics, emphasises modulus and elasticity that can be accompanied by water-proof features, however, breathable,” it says.

The line called Foils and More introduces a “festival of metallic effects and interesting surface effects offering alternative stylistic solutions,” according to the company. “Products where we have unleashed our imagination to meet the needs of those who want to iconize the product seeking sensational effects without falling into excess. Flashy with taste.”
