Unitex is launching its latest textile-to-textile (T2T) developments at this week’s Première Vision in Paris, held from 16–18 September. The new range, created in collaboration with global partners, focuses on converting textile waste into sustainable feedstock for commercial-scale polyester production.

The Unitex T2T collection includes circular, and warp knits designed for performance applications across base, mid, and outer layers. By feeding textile waste back into the value chain, the company is advancing its goal of a more efficient and circular manufacturing model.

As a recognised global leader in performance circular and warp knits for bodywear, activewear, sports, outdoor and lifestyle sectors, Unitex has expanded its portfolio with this launch, adding textile-to-textile solutions alongside existing recycled, mono-material, and bio-based collections.

The innovations integrate leading recycling technologies, including Jiaren’s Greencircle closed-loop chemical process, which decomposes used polyester products into raw materials; Unifi’s Repreve Takeback programme, which mechanically recycles post-industrial and post-consumer textile waste into polyester yarns; and FENC’s Topgreen rTEX system, which converts pre-consumer factory waste into high-value fibres and yarns through processes such as sorting, crushing, melting, and reforming.

“Our next major goal is to strengthen our presence in key global markets by combining advanced textile innovation with sustainability at every stage of our operations,” said Chris Lei, Director of Innovation at Unitex. “As one of the few mills built with a sustainability-first mindset, we are actively pursuing cross-sector collaborations to achieve greater traceability, closed-loop recycling, and transparency—critical steps for the future of our industry.”

Founded in 2012, Fujian Unitex is a bluesign accredited manufacturer specialising in synthetic fabrics. With fully integrated operations, from yarn spinning through to knitting, dyeing, finishing and printing at a single site, the company is committed to advancing performance textiles through sustainable innovation.
