Interfilière Shanghai, a successful business platform bringing together the best players of the intimates, swimwear and sportswear industries in China, is getting ready to open its doors from 26-27 September. As a pioneer in launching the Spring/Summer Trends, Interfilière Shanghai connects the brands and manufacturers with the latest innovations via three forums.

Over the past 10 years, Interfilière Shanghai has grown progressively, multiplying the participating exhibitors by five, and showing a continuous jump in 2014 with 275 exhibitors from 16 countries. In 2017, the show welcomed more than 5,000 visitors from 45 countries.

Following the success of the new layout in Paris last July 2015, Interfilière Shanghai also changed its floor plan, where exhibitors are clearly spread over the seven product-based sectors as usual but not only in West and East wing, but also in the Central hall. With a different focus every year, the show stays on top of the constant changes through collaborations with industry partners and peers for exclusive projects and seminars.

The show is organised by Eurovet, the world leader for intimates and swimwear, with international events in Paris, New York, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Moscow. It is also the most important reference for sourcing textiles and fashion for the fast fashion movement in Europe, and number one in France for sports textiles and equipment trade shows.

Technical sophistication

Visitors to the upcoming trade fair will meet with specialists in seamless, bonding, adhesive films and laminating, such as Dingzing Corporation (Taiwan) and its technical films, or Baotu Intelligence (China) and its bonding solutions that feature SensElast 3D technology.

Visitors will also discover the Viscomatic Technology of Seiren (Japan), a printing technique that reveals a personalised pattern while connecting two fabrics, perfect for activewear. On show will also be brushed or anti-slip Jacquard elastics from Fung Lee Elastic (Hong Kong) or Sun Tak (Hong Kong) and dedicated elastics for activewear developed by Golden Autumn Elastic (China).

Visitors can also explore the wide range of cups for swimwear; the moulded, ventilated, memory-firm cups in PU and silicone from Seal-Beauty Bra Cup (China) or a selection of push-up spacer cups from Jia Yng (Taiwan).

Technical knits

Striped meshes and jacquard knits will be exhibited by Assab (China), Billion (France), and Xiamen Xinxian Industrial (China). Functional knits for sport will also be on show, including fabrics for water sports from Showme Group (China), Sui Ho (Taiwan), Dejun (China), and Integrate Beneficial Textile (China).

Circular knits that include coatings from Heiq (Switzerland), and Umorfil Beauty Fiber collagen fibres from Fabtex (Taiwan), will be presented. Another highlight is ultra-fine knits in fibres containing silver for antibacterial effects from Bo ying Textile (China).

Other exhibitors showcasing their expertise in this field are Kyemyoung (China), with its pleating and metallisation capabilities, and Shizhan (China) and Famous Textile (China) – with double-stretch satins, crepes, twills, and chiffons.
