DyStar has reached agreement with Lanxess owner of the DyStar production plants in Leverkusen and Brunsbüttel to restart production at both sites in March.

This week, DyStar employees were able to enter the plants in order to prepare for start-up of the facilities, the company said. According to DyStar, orders for the necessary raw materials to start production have already been placed.

Lanxess, owner of the buildings and facilities used by DyStar in Leverkusen and Brunsbüttel, reached an agreement with DyStar about the future use of the facilities at the end of last week and new lease and service agreement for the buildings and facilities in Leverkusen has been concluded. The  contract obligates DyStar to properly decommission the facilities at the end of production and the buildings and premises in Brunsbüttel will be sold to DyStar including all obligations for demolition.

In addition DyStar says its bonded warehouse products have been released and so the company will be able to supply those products to customers again as of this week.
