At this week’s 2025 Textile Exchange Conference in Lisbon, sustainable fibre brand Eastman Naia unveiled its 2025 Sustainability Progress Report and announced new 2025–2030 Sustainability Goals, reaffirming its commitment to driving scalable sustainability across the textile value chain.
The updated roadmap reflects measurable progress and sets new targets in three priority areas - mitigating climate change, mainstreaming circularity, and caring for society. The goals are designed to accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon, transparent, and circular textile industry.
“We mark five years into our Naia sustainability journey with pride and humility,” said Ruth Farrell, General Manager of Eastman Textiles. “This update documents verifiable progress while presenting a renewed roadmap for the years ahead. Most importantly, it reaffirms our unwavering commitment to sustainability, circularity, and the health of our industry.”
Claudia de Witte, Marketing and Sustainability Director at Eastman Textiles, added: “Achieving circularity at scale remains a major challenge. It requires transforming feedstock infrastructure, advancing regulation, and strengthening collaboration across the entire industry. Together, we can shape the systemic change needed for a truly circular future.”
At the event, Naia showcased new fibre innovations addressing brand needs in performance, fashion, and circularity. These include Naia On the Move, a blending solution for light sports and urban wear; Naia Denim, combining comfort and circularity for authentic fashion denim; and the Naia GlowNow campaign, highlighting the comfort and style of Naia filament yarn for low-impact women’s fashion.
All Naia fibres are made from wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests. When produced as Naia Renew, the fibres contain 40% Global Recycled Standard (GRS)-certified recycled content, made possible through Eastman’s molecular recycling technology.
With these developments, Eastman Naia continues to demonstrate that environmental responsibility and design performance can advance hand in hand, offering brands a tangible pathway toward a circular textile economy.
