“Texworld USA’s 10th anniversary edition had a great turnout of visitors,” said Jennifer Bacon, Texworld USA Show Director. “We saw visitors from large, well-known brands such as Macy’s, Marc Jacobs, Coach, Ralph Lauren, Lord & Taylor, and Target, as well as many new faces from smaller but fast-rising start-up apparel brands. This just speaks to the vast and varied mix of product we offer -- there’s something for everyone at Texworld USA.”

Partnership with Lenzing Innovation

This July marked 10 years of partnership with Lenzing Innovation, during which the leading fibre supplier has remained at the core of the show and has contributed to the brand’s growth through consistent delivery of high quality exhibitors and over 200 educational seminars for industry engagement.

“It was wonderful to celebrate this milestone of 10 years of Lenzing Innovation at Texworld USA,” said Tricia Carey, Director of Global Business Development Apparel, Lenzing Fibers. “When we look back on the market changes over the past decade we are encouraged about the challenges ahead for the next decade with value, technology and sustainability at the forefront.”

In addition to organizing Texworld USA’s complimentary seminar series for the 10th year in a row, Lenzing Innovation debuted the first series of brand new Industry Boot Camps. With the addition of 10 boot camp sessions, Lenzing Innovation presented a total of 20 sessions, making this the largest educational offering in Texworld USA and Apparelsourcing USA’s histories.

Educational sessions

Both seminars and boot camp sessions proved to be a big draw for senior attendees interested in trends, sustainability, and new fibre development, as well as for small brands just getting started on the road to building an apparel brand. Close to 800 visitors attended the 20 sessions over three show days.

The Lenzing Pavilion also returned to the show floor with 25 exhibitors focused on integrating sustainable fibres into a wide range of product categories. From cotton to functional fabrics and knits to lace, Lenzing Pavilion exhibitors showcased the best use of Tencel and Lenzing Modal.

Texworld USA’s Cutting Edge Awards

Texworld USA’s 10th anniversary edition also featured the Texworld Cutting Edge Awards. Recognizing the most forward-thinking products each season, the Summer 2016 Texworld Cutting Edge Awards shined the spotlight on the best of Texworld’s international exhibitors across five categories. Winners in each category were recognized for their achievements in textile innovation during a live awards presentation on the show floor.
