The 64th edition of Filo – the Exhibition of Yarns and Fibres – will take place on 23 and 24 September 2025 at Fiera Milano Rho, Hall 14. The move marks a significant step in the event’s growth and internationalisation strategy, following Filo’s recent membership in the IT EX Association of major Italian international fairs.

The larger and more functional spaces at Fiera Milano Rho are expected to better meet the needs of exhibitors and visitors. The decision also positions Filo within the international trade fair calendar at a time most suited to the textile supply chain. The new location will integrate seamlessly into a week of exhibitions in Milan covering many stages of the industry, attracting buyers from across the world.

“The dates of 23 and 24 September allow Filo to fit into the trade fair calendar in the most suitable way for companies,” said Paolo Monfermoso, Head of Filo. “The choice to bring the fair to Fiera Milano Rho allows us to better respond to the needs of exhibitors and visitors, while strengthening Milan’s role as a global textile hub.”

The 64th edition will open with a ceremony on 23 September at 10:30 a.m. under the theme “Innovation, Sustainability, Legality: the Future of Made in Italy.” Speakers will include Paolo Monfermoso, Pier Francesco Corcione of the Unione Industriale Biellese, Elena Chiorino, Vice President of the Piedmont Region, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, and Matteo Zoppas, President of ITA-Agenzia.

A round table discussion will follow, with contributions from Mauro Chezzi of Confindustria Moda and Retex.Green, Giovanni Marchi of MagnoLab, Francesca Rulli of Ympact and 4sustainability, and Luca Sburlati of Confindustria Moda. The session will be moderated by journalist Laura Ricardi from the UIB Press Office.

International visitors will be able to access simultaneous English translation via a QR code provided by Filo’s digital services team.
