Functional Fabric Fair, powered by Performance Days, will return to the Javits Center in New York City from 21 to 23 July 2025, gathering the textile industry’s key professionals and innovators to source, learn and network. This year’s edition will feature an expanded programme with a strong emphasis on sustainability, responsible sourcing and meaningful connections for the global functional textiles sector.
Kicking off the event is the debut Day 0 Sustainability Workshop on 21 July. Curated by industry experts Jill Dumain, Todd Copeland and Kevin Myette, the full-day workshop aims to equip participants with practical strategies for sustainable materials, supply chain complexity, climate action, human rights, circularity and traceability. Open to all attendees, the session offers hands-on learning in an intimate setting to maximise value for brands, suppliers and students alike.
The main exhibition will open on 22 and 23 July, featuring more than 150 sustainability-certified suppliers presenting high-performance functional fabrics and innovations for Summer 2026/2027. The popular Expert Talks stage will run alongside, with sessions on trend forecasting, global sourcing, tariffs, women’s leadership in textiles, 3D garment development and certification navigation.
A new highlight this year is the Future Fabrics Expo Innovation Hub, in partnership with Future Fabrics Expo, showcasing cutting-edge sustainable and tech-forward suppliers in a dedicated space before visitors enter the main hall. Exclusive insights will also be shared at the Expert Talks stage, driving the conversation on responsible sourcing and material innovation forward.
Additional features include the Trend Forum with 12 key fabric categories and sustainable samples, happy hour networking at the Expert Talks stage sponsored by Sorona, complimentary coffee each morning sponsored by Coloro, and the AATCC Social in the City event in partnership with Brookwood Companies. This ticket-only gathering will offer attendees an informal space to connect with peers and industry leaders.
“Functional Fabric Fair is committed to providing the foundation the industry needs to thrive—through education, sourcing and meaningful connections,” said Steve McCullough, Event Vice President. “This year’s programme is more relevant than ever, offering real solutions at the intersection of performance, responsibility, innovation and community.”
Recognised as the leading trade-only sourcing event for high-performance functional fabrics in the US, the fair remains free for verified designers, product developers, buyers, material and sustainability sourcing professionals, and students in outdoor, performance, fashion and lifestyle apparel sectors.
