The 64th edition of Filo, the International Yarns and Fibres Exhibition, closed in Milan with strong results, attracting a steady flow of visitors across its two days. Buyers praised the quality and innovation of exhibitors’ collections, which also reflected compliance with environmental, social and economic sustainability standards.

The fair’s international reach was confirmed by a high proportion of overseas visitors. This was supported by close collaboration with the ITA–Italian Trade Agency and Piedmont Region–Ceipiemonte, which helped bring delegations from across Europe and Asia. For this edition, ITA hosted 40 professionals and journalists from countries including Spain, France, Germany, the UK, Finland, India, South Korea and China. Piedmont Region’s Textile Integrated Supply Chain Project also contributed to a buyer presence from Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal.

Representatives from Italy’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA underlined the value of their longstanding partnership with Filo. According to Matteo Masini of ITA, the event is now further strengthened by its move to Fiera Milano Rho, where it is integrated with other trade fairs in the sector.

Filo’s Head, Paolo Monfermoso, highlighted the success of this first edition at the new venue. He noted that new features such as the Accessories Area, an expanded Trends and Quick Delivery Area, and a redesigned Sustainability Area developed with C.L.A.S.S. had been widely appreciated. The “Made in Filo” fabrics collection, designed and produced directly by Filo using exhibitors’ yarns, also drew strong interest as a unique initiative in the international fair scene.

The opening ceremony addressed the key challenges of innovation, sustainability and legality. Industry leaders including Confindustria Moda’s Luca Sburlati and Unione Industriale Biellese’s Paolo Barberis Canonico urged companies to treat these not as costs but as opportunities for competitive advantage. Monfermoso said that the positive atmosphere at the fair was confirmed by exhibitor feedback and underlined by synergies with other events taking place simultaneously, including Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech.

Filo’s 64th edition, he added, demonstrated the value of teamwork across the supply chain. “The success of Filo64 involved many key players: companies and buyers, institutions that support us, and partners contributing to the creation of ‘Made in Filo’. I thank everyone involved and look forward to welcoming the industry back for Filo65 in February 2026.”

The 65th edition of Filo will take place on 11–12 February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho.
